A coffee with character, born in the highlands of Colombia and refined through a process you can taste.
On the woman-owned Finca Villa Clara, Carolina Mejia cultivates the Castillo variety with care, passion – and a touch of magic.
After washed processing, the coffee is aged in Colombian oak rum barrels that previously held dark rum.
The inside of the barrel is flamed to infuse the aromas of rum, sugar cane, vanilla, and oak deep into the heart of the bean.
Regular rotation develops a sweetly fragrant, complex, and intense character – completely without alcohol, but with maximum depth.
